Domingo Lopez is a dual board-certified nurse practitioner who specializes in family medicine and psychiatry. He worked many years at Audie Murphy VA Hospital with experience in cardiology, medical-surgical, surgery, neurology, and specialties in psychiatry, spinal cord injury, poly-trauma specifically veterans with traumatic brain injury. Domingo later returned to The University of The Incarnate Word (UIW) to earn a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a concentration as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). While working with the underserved patient population he encountered many patients with a mental health need in the community and local county jail, so he then decided to return to UIW for his Post-Master’s Certification in Psychiatry (PMHNP).
